ACC Mercury Cyclone Trunk Mats & Carpet

Cyclone production ran through three bodies between 1966 and 1971, and the trunk changed with each one. A mat cut for one generation will not settle into another, which is why this collection lists four mats instead of one year range.

1966-1967: match the trim, not just the year

The first Cyclones were Mercury's version of the Fairlane-class intermediate, and the trunk listings split by trim: a hardtop mat for the base Cyclone and a separate hardtop mat for the Cyclone GT. The GT was the volume seller, outselling the base car nearly two to one in 1966, but volume does not make the mats interchangeable. Confirm whether your car is a GT before ordering, and note that both 1966-1967 listings are hardtop applications.

1968-1969: the fastback cars

For 1968 the Cyclone moved to the Torino platform and a radical fastback roofline, the shape behind the Cyclone Spoiler II aero cars built for NASCAR. These are scarce cars: Mercury built only 22,771 Cyclones across 1968 and 1969 against more than 738,000 Ford Torino and Fairlane models, which is why Cyclone trim has been harder to source than its Ford counterpart. The listing here is the GT trunk mat for those two years. A Torino mat is a gamble in this trunk; order the Cyclone pattern.

1970-1971: redesigned again

The 1970 redesign softened the fastback into a semi-fastback profile, with trunk lines midway between the old notchback and a true fastback, on a 117-inch wheelbase shared with the Torino. The lineup ran base Cyclone, Cyclone GT, and Cyclone Spoiler; the mat in this collection is the GT listing for 1970-1971. Because the deck and trunk floor were reshaped for this body, the 1968-1969 mat does not carry over, even though the two generations sit side by side in parts catalogs.

Every mat here is a single piece of replacement vinyl. Install it the same way regardless of generation: empty the trunk, save the old mat as a pattern reference, inspect the floor for rust and water, and trial fit before any trimming. Vinyl wipes clean and shrugs off the damp that ruins fabric mats, but it will also hide a leak, so fix trunk seal and tail light leaks first and keep the spare tire reachable when the mat is down.

Shop related: All Mercury trunk mats · Mercury sound deadening and insulation

Bring a Finished Look Back to the Trunk

Replace a tired trunk covering with the material specified for your application. 1966-1967 Mercury Cyclone GT Vinyl Replacement Trunk Mat Hardtop - 1-Piece. Proudly made in the USA by Auto Custom Carpets.

Choose the Details That Suit Your Project

Restore a consistent finish across the specified trunk area.

Match the listed material and configuration to your application.

Review the included pieces and fitment details before ordering.

Configure Your Trunk Mat

Review the application and product details below to confirm this configuration suits your project.

Construction and Included Details

Vinyl, one of the six trunk-mat materials ACC makes to reproduce the covering the factory used, printed in ACC's original-style patterns where the factory used them.

CNC die cut to ACC's pattern for this application, so each piece lays in place without trimming to shape.

Supplied as 1 piece for the ACC application 1966-1967 Mercury Cyclone GT Trunk Mat Hardtop.

Built to show-quality standards and made in the USA by Auto Custom Carpets.

Product Details

Manufacturer: Auto Custom Carpets (ACC)

Product type: Trunk Mat

Material: TM Vinyl

Construction: Die Cut

Pieces: 1

Padding: none

Color: 11V Light Gray Spatter

Shipping weight: 11 lb

Application description: 1966-1967 Mercury Cyclone GT Trunk Mat Hardtop TM Vinyl

Fitment

1966 Mercury Cyclone GT Trunk Mat Hardtop

1967 Mercury Cyclone GT Trunk Mat Hardtop

ACC fitment note: Fits GT hardtop only.

Choosing from the Images

Review the product images together with the application and specifications when choosing your configuration.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0764/5213/5195/files/acc-tm-10747-0aeab663e5ded12eb1b72fe337e0b17ddc47bd30.jpg?v=1792782574
1968-1969-mercury-cyclone-gt-vinyl-replacement-trunk-mat-1-piece-acc-tm-16611
1968-1969 Mercury Cyclone GT Vinyl Replacement Trunk Mat - 1-Piece

Bring a Finished Look Back to the Trunk

Replace a tired trunk covering with the material specified for your application. 1968-1969 Mercury Cyclone GT Vinyl Replacement Trunk Mat - 1-Piece.

Use the available selectors above to choose your configuration.
