Customer Reviews:
*Best Upgrade for the Money - 5-Star Although I bought the whole kit, I started out using the cat back pieces to see how that alone sounded. I could not believe how much the stock cat absorbed all the turbo sound. In my opinion, if you are doing a cat back system, with the stock cat, it's a waste of time and money. The turbo outlet is 3.5\" diameter, so going to a 5\" exhaust really has no benefit in my opinion. Increasing the stock downpipe from 3\" to 3.5\" is already a massive gain. From there, the kit increases the 3.5\" downpipe to 4\" which again is another massive gain. I installed this exhaust on my back with no lift, by myself. - Tom L
*Great Product - 5-Star Well made, install could have been WAY easier with better directions and clearer pictures. Took me a little over 4 hours and I believe with a clearer set of directions it would have been more like 1.5 hours. Outside of that detail, its well packaged, arrived way earlier than promised and Im very happy with the product! - Adam M.
*I am very happy with my 4 inch turbo back exhaust on my 03 6.0 Powerstroke. The biggest difference I feel over stock is power. It's like now it's opened up to breathe, it can finally unleash all the power it was holding back before. And it sounds great too. If you like the whine of the turbo, this kit is what you want. At W.O.T. the growl of the 6.0 is like no other. Install was easy and only took a couple of hours. - Hank J.
*Easy Install for a First-Timer - 5 Stars
I like to think of myself as pretty handy, but I have never done an exhaust or helped with one. I watched some videos which made it look 'too simple.' Well from start to finish I was about 3 hours for demo and install!!! Unleash your vehicle's most aggressive sound with an MBRP Race Profile exhaust. Hear the biggest gains and turn heads every time you hit the gas. - Vincent H.
*Aggressive Sound with No Drone - 4.5 Stars
I've had the MBRP street exhaust on for about a year now and I love it. It is loud on a cold start but after a minute it calms down. I did want to go for the Magnaflow Street but I got my MBRP for less than half the price. Accelerating at highway speed to pass another vehicle, or just because, is great. I'd say the relative amount you lose in deepness vs MF Street you gain in volume. I don't think an exhaust quieter than the MBRP is really worth it.
The MBRP S6212PLM is a 4-inch turbo-back exhaust system from the Armor Lite (PLM) series, designed as an affordable, high-performance upgrade for diesel trucks. It's a straight-through, muffler-delete design that prioritizes maximum exhaust flow, aggressive sound, and improved engine performance without the need for welding. Below is a comprehensive breakdown of its specifications, features, compatibility, and more.
Features and Benefits
- Maximized Flow and Performance: The muffler-delete pipe replaces the stock muffler for unrestricted exhaust flow, reducing backpressure and allowing cooler, cleaner air into the engine. This setup minimizes restrictions from the turbo to the tailpipe, making it an excellent base for further mods like cold air intakes or tuners.
- Aggressive Sound Profile: Tuned for a deep, throaty roar typical of the 6.0L Powerstroke—loud on cold starts and acceleration, with minimal drone at highway speeds. It's designed to "turn heads" while optimizing acoustics for diesel enthusiasts.
- Durability: Fully sealed tubing prevents rust at seams (a common failure point in budget exhausts). The aluminized coating resists dings, dents, and road debris.
- Easy Bolt-On Installation: No cutting, drilling, or welding required. Includes all necessary clamps, hangers, and hardware for a direct OEM fit. Typically installs in 1.5–2 hours with basic hand tools (e.g., wrenches and sockets). A two-piece tailpipe design simplifies alignment under the frame.
Truck Fitment: 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 Ford F-250/F-350 All Cabs and Beds
