Collection: ACC Chevrolet C20 Suburban Replacement Carpet Kits

Choose your vehicle application, then compare materials, coverage and options on each listing.

Every C20 Suburban kit in this collection is two-wheel drive, and the real fork is the shifter: column shift or floor shift, automatic, three-speed or four-speed. Loop covers 1967-1973, cutpile covers 1974-1986, in passenger area and complete sets for the three-quarter-ton wagon.

Pick your transmission first. A column-shift automatic, a column-shift three-speed and a four-speed with its lever in the floor put three different shapes into the same tunnel area, so ACC molds these kits by shifter as much as by year. The 1967-1972 listings alone split the automatic into 400 transmission and Auto/3-speed column versions, plus a dedicated 4spd floor shift kit, and the same discipline runs through 1986. Order by the transmission in the truck today, not the one on the build sheet.

Loop hands over to cutpile in 1974, with a warning

The material calendar here mirrors ACC practice across the industry: loop was the original material in vehicles built before 1974, and ACC spins its loop from 100 percent 6.6 nylon at 20 ounces per square yard. In this collection the changeover lands between the 1973 loop kits and the 1974 cutpile kits, and 1973 stands alone with its own automatic and 4spd listings. Do not let a 1973 borrow a kit from either neighbor.

A three-door wagon loads from one side

The 1967-1972 Suburban is the famous three-door: one door on the driver side, two on the passenger side, a layout ambulance companies favored. It shapes the install. The rear carpet section goes in through the passenger side, and the long driver side has no rear door or sill plate to work around. From 1973 the body is a conventional four-door, and the kits change with it.

Passenger area or complete

  • Passenger Area kits are 2-piece throughout the range, covering the front and rear seating rows.
  • Complete kits run 6-piece for 1967-1972 and 5-piece for 1973-1986, carrying carpet through the cargo floor behind the seats.
  • ACC includes padding where it was original and applies the heel pad the OEM way. Optional mass backing adds an EVA layer of about 45 mil for heat and sound control.

Panel delivery versions of the three-door body replaced the rear glass with steel sides, and their owners shop these same Passenger Area listings for the cab. For the install itself, keep the old carpet as a template, warm the new molding in the sun so it relaxes, fit the rear section before the front, and trim the edges last.
