Six kits, and every one is a Fireflite or the last DeSoto
Chrysler ended DeSoto after a shortened 1961 model year, and most carpet catalogs never picked the brand up again. This collection holds the whole ACC DeSoto line: six loop carpet kits covering the 1957-1958 Fireflite sedan and hardtop, the 1959 and 1959-1960 Fireflite hardtop, and the 1961 DeSoto two-door hardtop. There is no Firedome, Adventurer or convertible application here, and nothing before 1957. If your car is on that short list, the material question is already settled. Every kit is loop, the nylon loop face described in Forward Look era references as original in most American cars from the mid 1950s into the mid 1970s.
The power seat question changes the kit
The one real trap sits inside the 1957-1958 Fireflite two-door hardtop with a bench seat. ACC lists it twice. Cars without a power seat take a two-piece loop kit. Cars with power seats take a four-piece loop kit. Year, model, body style and seat read identically in both titles, so the deciding fact is the equipment on your seat frame. Check it before you pick a color, because the two kits are not interchangeable and the difference is easy to miss when ordering from the year alone.
Two listings touch the 1959 hardtop, and 1961 stands alone
A 1959 Fireflite hardtop also appears twice: a 1959-only four-piece kit and a 1959-1960 bench seat kit described as loop molded in two pieces. Read both titles in full and match the wording to your car rather than assuming the broader year range is the safer buy. The 1961 kit is simpler. The final DeSotos carried no series name at all, which is why the listing reads the way it does, and the hardtop is the only 1961 application offered.
Fitting notes for a Forward Look floor
Keep your old carpet to use as a trimming reference, dry fit the new kit before final trimming, and order any matching carpet pieces at the same time. Carpet dye lots can vary between production runs, so carpet bought months apart may not match as closely as carpet cut together.
