Collection: ACC Trunk Mats & Carpet

Choose your vehicle application, then compare materials, coverage and options on each listing.

Trunk mats and carpet for classic cars: molded loop carpet kits, vinyl and fleece mats, foam and felt mats for coupes, sedans and convertibles. Match the year range and body style first, then choose the material your car left the factory with, or the finish you want.

"Trunk mat" covers several different products in this category, and the construction matters as much as the fitment. Molded loop carpet kits, listed for Camaro, Firebird and Nova, are shaped to the trunk floor and give the compartment a finished, carpeted look. Vinyl mats are flat, die-cut reproductions of the thin mats many cars carried from the factory, including the printed plaid patterns common on Ford, Mercury and Lincoln models of the 1950s through the 1970s. Fleece, foam and felt mats each belong to specific applications, from Thunderbird fleece kits to a foam mat for early Monte Carlo and a felt mat for the Grand National. There is even a cutpile trunk lid cover for 1981-1988 Monte Carlo. Start by deciding which type your car actually uses.

Year breaks decide the fit

Trunk floors changed inside model runs, and the listings follow those changes rather than the badge. Nova applications split into 1962-1967, 1968 on its own, 1969-1970 and 1971-1972. Firebird separates the 1969 coupe from the 1967-1968 cars and the 1970-1973 range. The Torino vinyl mat is listed with a gas filler cut for the hardtop and convertible, and Thunderbird fleece kits split by hardtop versus convertible. Order the exact year range and body style shown, not the generation you assume.

Count the pieces before you order

Most mats here are a single piece covering the trunk floor. The Thunderbird fleece kits run to 12, 13 or 15 pieces because they include the trunk boards. Side panels, wheelhouse sections and spare tire covers are not automatic inclusions on any listing, so read the named areas and piece count on the product you are considering. If your project needs a board or a spare cover, it is selected by its own application.

Prep decides how the finished trunk looks

Inspect the compartment for water entry and corrosion and repair both before the new material goes in; a fresh mat over a leaking trunk traps moisture against the floor. Owners restoring spatter-painted trunks also let fresh paint cure fully before laying a vinyl mat down, since a new mat can stick to uncured paint under the weight of the spare. Keep the old covering as a reference, trial-fit before any trimming, and preserve access to the spare tire and jack.
