Searching for 1978-1983 Chevy Malibu cutpile floor mats with embroidered logo choices, or a four-piece carpet set for the 1997-2012 front-drive cars? Every set here is die cut for one Malibu generation and body, in cutpile with your choice of embroidered logo, logo color and thread color.

Two Different Malibus Share This Page

The Malibu name covers two unrelated cars here, and their floors share nothing. The first group is the rear-drive G-body era: 1978-1981 and 1982-1983 sets, split because the range changed mid-run. The second is the front-drive era: 1997-2003, the 2004-2007 body and 2008-2012. If your search started with a classic Chevelle-era Malibu, note that the bowtie and flag mats sold for 1964-1972 cars belong to a different floorpan. Nothing on this page fits those years, and nothing for those years fits these.

The Malibu Classic Trap, 2004-2007

From 2004 to 2007 Chevrolet sold two Malibus at once. The redesigned car carried the Malibu name, while the previous body continued as the Malibu Classic, sold largely to fleets. The Classic is not a trim level of the new car, it is the older car, and it gets its own listing here: 2004-2007 Malibu Classic 4DR, separate from the 2004-2005 Malibu 4DR set. Ex-fleet Classics get the wrong set ordered most often, because the trunk badge says Malibu either way. Check which body you actually own before choosing.

The Maxx Hatchback Is Its Own Pattern

The Malibu Maxx five-door hatchback sold beside the sedan from 2004 to 2007, and its floor is not the sedan floor. The Maxx is listed three separate ways: a 2004 Maxx 5DR set, then 2004-2007 Maxx LS and Maxx LT sets. The LS and LT labels are trim levels of the same hatchback body, but all three sit apart from every four-door set. If your Malibu has a hatch, order from a Maxx listing even if the year matches a sedan set exactly.

Carpet Mats or All-Weather Liners?

Every set here is cutpile carpet in a four-piece layout, so the honest comparison matters. Molded all-weather liners hold melting snow and road salt better, and for a winter-beaten daily driver they are the practical pick. Carpet wins where liners cannot compete: factory-matched colors and an embroidered logo chosen the way buyers actually decide it, carpet color first, then the logo, then the thread color. For a G-body car being restored or a clean later Malibu, that finish is the point. Whichever you run, remove the old mats first, never stack sets, and confirm full pedal travel before driving.
