Collection: ACC Corvette Sound Deadening & Insulation

Choose your vehicle application, then compare materials, coverage and options on each listing.

Restore the quiet your C1, C2 or C3 left the factory with. Shop Corvette sound deadener complete sets, mastic with pad kits split by coupe and roadster, and jute pad kits, each die cut for the generation, body style and floor section your car actually needs.

From the Factory, the Deadener Was Never Part of the Carpet

Corvette restorers repeat this in every under-carpet thread, and Willcox Corvette states it plainly: on factory original cars, the deadener kit was laid on the floor separately, and the carpet went over it. The jute found stuck to old carpet backs got there with age, not by assembly-line design. That is why shops order mastic backed deadener plus carpet sets without jute bonded on. Stack both at full thickness and the fit suffers at door panels, quarter trim and the coupe jack compartment lid.

Sound Deadening and Heat Insulation Are Different Jobs

Owners ask one question in two forms: will this quiet the car, and will it cool the cabin? Dense deadener bonded to the panel damps the vibration that becomes road and exhaust noise. A pad layer works differently, cushioning the carpet and slowing heat moving up through the floor. A kit chosen for one job does half the work, so this collection sells the layers separately.

Coupe and Roadster Kits Are Not Interchangeable

For the 1963-1967 C2, the mastic with pad kit runs 9 pieces in the coupe and 8 in the roadster. Buy it in sections if the interior goes back together in stages: front kits are 4 pieces for either body, while the rear kit is 5 pieces for the coupe and 4 for the roadster. The 1968-1975 C3 coupe line reaches a 10-piece complete kit with a 6-piece front. Order your actual body style.

Three Product Lines, Three Different Layers

Sound deadener complete sets are organized by generation: C1 1953-1962, C2 1963-1967 and C3 1968-1975. Mastic with pad kits add the factory-style pad layer in front, rear or complete coverage. Jute pad kits stand alone, including the complete 5-piece kit for 1963-1964 cars and the 2-piece front kit for 1965-1967. A pad kit is not a deadener kit with a different name, so check what your build still needs.

Fit Every Section Before the Carpet Goes Down

Dry-fit each piece first, keep access to seat mounts, controls and the jack compartment, and fix water entry and floor corrosion before covering anything. Footwell water is the recurring theme in every classic Corvette interior thread, and deadener over a leak just hides it.
