Collection: ACC GMC Jimmy Replacement Carpet Kits

Choose your vehicle application, then compare materials, coverage and options on each listing.

Find 1970-1972 GMC Jimmy loop molded replacement carpet kits and later cutpile sets at Radiant Speed Works. Kits are split by 2WD or 4WD, floor shift or column shift, and complete or passenger area coverage, so you can match the exact floor your Jimmy was built with.

The 1970-1972 Jimmy Splits Three Ways

Order a first generation Jimmy carpet by year alone and you have a one in three chance of the right molding. The 1970-1972 kits divide by drivetrain and shifter before color: 2WD with a 4-speed floor shift, 2WD with an automatic or 3-speed column shift, and 4WD. Several listings are marked "Same as CST Blazer" for the floorpan shared with the Chevrolet K5. Confirm your combination in the full kit title before picking a color: a column shift kit will not settle over a floor shift floor.

Complete or Passenger Area: Decide Coverage First

Two coverage levels cover every Jimmy application here. Passenger area kits are a single piece for the front seating floor, the right scope when the rear of the truck is sound. Complete kits are 4-piece sets for 1970-1977 that carry carpet through the cargo area; 1978-1980 sets grow to 6-piece complete kits with a 3-piece passenger area option. A full restoration usually wants the complete set, so front and rear age together in one dye lot. If only the footwells are worn, the passenger area kit is the honest, cheaper answer.

Loop Until 1973, Cutpile From 1974

The material follows the factory timeline. The 1970-1972 kits and the one-year 1973 kits are loop, the tight looped yarn these trucks wore when new. From 1974 the collection switches to cutpile for the 1974-1977 and larger 1978-1980 sets, matching the industry move to cut pile from about 1974. If originality matters, let the year choose the material. If comfort matters more, cutpile reads plusher underfoot, while loop hides wear and dirt better.

Before You Cut Anything

Molded Jimmy carpet arrives formed to the floor pan, but shifter, seat and dimmer switch openings are not precut, a point forum owners raise often. Keep the old carpet as your cutting template, let the new kit relax in place, and trial fit it over the tunnel before trimming. Cut the dimmer hole only after the carpet is seated, and use the supplied grommet so the edge does not fray. While the floor is bare, check for the moisture and rust these open-top trucks collect under old carpet. Optional mass backing, about 45 mil of EVA, adds heat and sound control.
