Collection: ACC Oldsmobile Delta 88 Replacement Carpet Kits

Choose your vehicle application, then compare materials, coverage and options on each listing.

Find molded replacement carpet for your Oldsmobile Delta 88, from the 1965-1970 loop kits through the 1977-1985 one-piece cutpile sets. Match your year, doors, and Royale trim, then pick the factory color for a fit that follows your original floor pan.

Royale or Base? Start With the Trim, Not the Year

The Delta 88 catalog splits on trim as much as year. From 1971 onward, Royale cars get their own kits in both 2-door and 4-door, and the difference is not just a badge. The 1982 Royale coupe came standard with wall-to-wall cut-pile carpeting and carpeted lower door panels, so a Royale restoration fitted with a base kit can look right at a glance and still miss the factory finish. Confirm base or Royale first, then doors, then year range, and the right kit follows.

Loop Through 1973, Cutpile From 1974

Material is the second decision, and it is decided by year. Kits for 1965-1973 Delta 88s are loop, the hard-wearing 100% nylon loop that defined the original interior. From 1974 on, ACC cutpile takes over, the softer 100% nylon cut pile that became the original material in most domestic cars around 1974. Ordering cutpile for a 1970 car, or loop for a 1978 car, will look wrong even in the right color, so match material to year before anything else.

Two Pieces, Then One

Piece count follows the 1977 downsizing. Through 1976, Delta 88 kits are 2-piece sets with a vinyl-bound edge where the front and rear sections overlap. From 1977 through 1985, the smaller B-body takes a 1-piece molded set that follows the new floor pan in a single shape. The 1986-1991 Royale front-wheel-drive kits are also 1-piece, but they fit a completely different floor, so a 1985 kit will never fit a 1986 car even though both are one piece.

Before You Order: Pans, Padding, and Backing

Lift a corner of the old carpet before you buy. Delta 88 floor pans are a known rust spot, especially on the late 1970s cars, and new carpet over a soft pan only hides the problem. Mass backing is worth considering on a driver: the roughly 45-mil EVA layer adds heat and sound control and gives the finished carpet a more substantial look, though it is not offered on every color. Padding is included where padding was original, and the heel pad is applied the same way the factory did it.
