ACC Sound Deadening, Insulation and Carpet Pad Kits

Plan the materials beneath the carpet while the interior is apart. This Auto Custom Carpets collection includes sound-deadener sets and pad kits identified for specific vehicles and areas. Compare the product type, application and included coverage before combining it with new flooring. A complete sound-deadener set and a front jute-pad package describe different purchases.

Corvette sound-deadener sets by year

The collection includes separate C1, C2 and C3 Corvette applications, including 1953–1962, 1963–1967, 1968–1975 and 1976–1982 sound-deadener sets. Choose the stated year range instead of assuming that a Corvette generation label identifies every detail. Check the individual description to see what the set supplies and where it is intended to be installed.

Jute padding and area-specific coverage

Pad kits are also organized by application and covered area. Examples include a 1965–1967 Corvette front jute-pad kit described as two pieces, a 1963–1964 complete jute-pad kit described as five pieces, and a 1968–1977 complete kit described as eight pieces. The front and complete descriptions should be compared with the work being done.

A Jeep Wrangler pad kit is another application in this range. Use its own vehicle years and contents when selecting it; padding is not interchangeable merely because the piece count resembles a kit for another vehicle.

Coordinate with carpet backing

Review the replacement carpet configuration before adding material underneath it. Attached padding, standard backing, mass backing and a separate pad kit are different product details. Check the selected carpet's description and installation guidance so the planned layers match the intended fit.

Additional thickness can affect the fit around the tunnel, seat mounts and sill trim. Do not build up layers simply by assuming that more material will produce a better result. Follow the guidance for the products and retain required access to mounting points and service areas.

Inspect the floor before covering it

Resolve water entry and address corrosion before installation. Prepare the surface according to the selected product's instructions, then position the supplied sections in their intended locations. Insulation or padding should not conceal unresolved floor damage.

Set expectations using the product specifications

Different materials have different intended roles. Compare the actual construction and coverage without assuming every pad or sound-deadener set offers the same noise or heat performance. Results depend on the vehicle, material and installation. Use the selected item's specifications when deciding which product belongs in your restoration.
