Collection: ACC Cadillac Eldorado Replacement Carpet Kits

Choose your vehicle application, then compare materials, coverage and options on each listing.

A molded replacement carpet kit is the search that fixes a faded Eldorado interior for good. ACC molded kits cover 1955-2002 Eldorados in loop and cutpile, formed to the floor pan, with the piece count and material matched to each generation.

Match the Generation Before Anything Else

Eldorado carpet is not one long fitment. The front-wheel-drive car that arrived for 1967 has a different floor from the 1950s rear-drive cars, and the listings reflect that: a 3-piece loop kit for the 1955-1956 2-door hardtop and convertible, 2-piece molded loop kits for 1959-1960 (including the Series 62 versions, with or without 2 yards of extra material), 1961-1964, 1965-1966 and 1967-1970, then a 1-piece molded kit for 1971-1973. The later cars simplify: 1-piece cutpile kits for 1974-1978, 1979-1985, 1992-1997 and 1998-2002, with a 3-piece kit for 1986-1991. Pick your years first and the right construction follows.

Loop or Cutpile? The Factory Already Decided

Buyers often ask which material to choose, and on an Eldorado the answer is in the build year. Loop is the original material on cars through 1973, which is why every kit here from 1955 to 1973 is loop. Cutpile takes over from 1974 and runs to the end of production in 2002. Ordering the era-correct material keeps the new floor consistent with the door panels and seat upholstery around it.

Molded Does Not Mean No Trimming

The most common question on ranking carpet pages is whether molded carpet drops straight in. It is molded to your floor pan's contours, as ACC's listings put it, but trimming may be required. Install guides for molded carpet give the same sequence: let the carpet relax flat for 12 to 24 hours out of the box, keep the old carpet and lay it over the new piece as a cutting pattern, make small cuts for seat bolts and controls rather than big ones, and trial-fit before trimming edges. Fix any water entry or floor corrosion first, since new carpet over a leaking floor just hides the problem.

Padding, Heel Pad and Mass Backing

Ranking ACC listings spell out what separates one kit from another: padding is included where it was original, the heel pad is applied the way the factory applied it, and optional mass backing adds a heat and sound barrier under the carpet. On a big, quiet Cadillac, that backing choice is worth weighing before you order, because it cannot be added once the carpet is in.

Eldorado Series 62 and extra-material carpet packages

The 1959–1960 Eldorado selection includes separately named Series 62 products, with both two-piece descriptions and three-piece packages specifying two yards of material. Other Eldorado listings also distinguish an extra-material package. Keep the complete title with each comparison so the model designation and purchasing scope remain clear.

The 1955–1956 hardtop/convertible Loop package is listed as three pieces, followed by separate 1961–1964, 1965–1966 and 1967–1970 molded Loop applications. Resolve the year and body first; then compare the actual included sections rather than treating piece count as a general measure of completeness.
