Collection: ACC Buick GS Trunk Mats & Carpet

Choose your vehicle application, then compare materials, coverage and options on each listing.

Trunk mats for the 1965-1972 Buick Gran Sport and GS, die cut by year and model. The 1968-1969 GS 350 and GS 400 are each listed in felt or vinyl, so those two years ask a material question the vinyl-only bookend years do not.

For a 1968 or 1969 GS, the engine badge on the fender is not the decision. The material is. ACC lists the 1968-1969 GS 350 and the 1968-1969 GS 400 separately, and each model comes in two 1-piece mats: felt or vinyl. That gives a 1968-1969 owner four listings to sort through, and the right one is found by picking the model first and then answering the question the rest of this page never asks: which material belongs in the trunk?

Felt or vinyl in a 1968-1969 GS trunk

Vinyl is the period answer. It is the hard-wearing, wipe-clean surface these A-body trunks wore in the sixties, it shrugs off a wet jack or a leaking grocery bag, and it reads as correct in a judged trunk. Felt is the softer non-woven material GM moved to on its later cars, the same family of material found in 1970s GM trunks. In a 1968-1969 GS it gives a quieter, more finished look and feel underfoot, but it is a later material in an earlier car. Neither choice changes the cut: both are 1-piece mats die cut for the GS floor. Pick vinyl to match the era, felt to match the later GM trunk treatment, and know which you are doing.

The bookend years are vinyl only

Step outside 1968-1969 and the material question disappears. The 1965-1967 Gran Sport mat is vinyl and comes as a 2-piece set, the only multi-piece listing on this page, suiting the earlier A-body trunk layout. The 1970-1972 GS mat is vinyl and 1-piece. Owners cross-shopping the early cars will see pattern names in other catalogs, where the 1964-1967 Buick mats are titled by pattern such as gray houndstooth; the ACC listings here are sold by material and year range instead.

Yes, the floor is a shared A-body shell

Hemmings' GS 400 guide notes that lots of interior sheetmetal, trunk pans included, are shared with other GM A-bodies, which is exactly why Chevelle and GTO mats get held up against Buick trunks. The shell is common; the cut for your year and model is the part that matters. Order the GS listing for your car rather than a generic A-body mat and the edges land where Buick put them.

Buick GS 350 and GS 400 trunk mat finishes

The collection identifies separate 1968–1969 GS 350 and GS 400 applications, each with felt and vinyl one-piece choices. Compare the exact model description before choosing a finish. A material appearing in both groups does not establish compatibility beyond the listing.

Earlier 1965–1967 Gran Sport vinyl flooring is described as two pieces, while the 1970–1972 GS vinyl application is one piece. Check coverage before comparing price. Plan boards and additional trim independently unless the chosen package lists them, and inspect beneath the old mat before covering the trunk floor.
