Hagerty's valuation guide calls the 150 "notably Spartan in standard spec" and "virtually void of any trim," and that plainness is exactly what owners are restoring now. These were working cars: two-door and four-door sedans, a three-passenger utility sedan, the Handyman two-door wagon and the sedan delivery that businesses and fleet operators bought. Production ran at a fraction of 210 and Bel Air volume, so a correct 150 interior is the rare sight at a Tri-Five gathering today.
The catalog is wagon-first
Most of this collection serves the two-door wagon, the body style collectors prize as the affordable way into a Tri-Five wagon. Kits split by seat before anything else: bench seat and bucket seat versions are separate listings for each of 1955, 1956 and 1957. One further listing covers the 1955-1957 two-door and four-door sedans and wagons in a single piece of loop, and a 1956 four-door sedan bench kit rounds out the sedan side.
Loop or Daytona is a 1955-1956 question
For the 1955 and 1956 wagons, every kit comes in two weaves. Loop is the standard ACC Tri-Five material. Daytona is the tighter, low-loop weave that period-correct builds often specify, the same style Hot Rod chose for its 1955 interior project. The choice ends after 1956: the 1957 wagon kits are loop only. Whichever weave you pick, remember that 1955 factory carpet was color coordinated with the interior in blue, brown or green. Black was not offered that year, however right it looks today.
Passenger area or complete
- Pass Area kits carpet the cabin only: 3-piece for the 1955 and 1956 wagons, 2-piece for 1957.
- Complete kits run front to back in 8 pieces for 1955 and 1956 and 7 pieces for 1957, the pick for wagons and sedan deliveries being finished through the cargo floor.
- Match the kit to the seat actually in the car. A bucket swap in a former bench car needs the bucket listing.
Because the utility sedan and sedan delivery shared their floors with the sedan and wagon bodies, owners of those fleet cars usually start from these same listings. Measure your floor, compare the piece count, and ask us before ordering if your body style is not named in a title.
