Reading the Dodge truck names

The letter tells you the drivetrain. D trucks are two-wheel drive and W trucks are four-wheel drive, the Power Wagon line. The number is the payload class: 100 and 150 are half ton, 200 and 250 are three-quarter ton, and 300 and 350 are one ton. Coverage runs in blocks: 1972-1973 and 1974 pickups, 1975-1976, 1977-1980, 1981-1985, 1986, and 1987-1993 (plus some split 1986-1989 and 1990-1993 listings). Pick the block that matches the build date and badge on your truck, not the year it was first registered.

Mostly cutpile, mostly on cardboard

This is one of the most consistent ACC panel lines. About 126 listings are cutpile, which fits the look of these trucks from the 1970s into the early 90s, and only about 19 are loop. Around 120 come with cardboard backing already bonded on, so they are ready to fit without rebuilding the backer. If the original boards in your doors are swollen from water, the new board is the better fix.

Ordering tips

Match the panel color and material to the floor carpet you are running so the texture lines up where the kick panel meets the floor. If you are replacing the floor too, order both together because dye lots can vary slightly from one batch to the next.
